Well, as with any new pair of boots, a jacket, or simply a pair of socks, sometimes you just have to try it on and see how it feels. Sometimes you know instantly, like with the socks, if you’re going to like it or if they’re going to bother you all day long. For other times, things turn out more like the Jacket, uncomfortable at first and maybe a bit too early in the season, but it will sure to come in handy later.
Then again, few and far between, things turn out like the boots. They’re hard, tough, tough to get around in, overall uncomfortable. However, after a few days, a cinch of oil, and some wear-and-tear, they boots mold to your feet and you couldn’t imagine wearing any other pair ever again.
As you might have guessed, I’m good with analogies, and you’ll see more of that later. For now, I’m simply trying out something new, seeing how it feels, and going from there. So in a manner of speaking, I’m in the changing room trying on different clothes.
